Increased wheel offset from 25 to 43 mm
The rims have a greater offset, that is to say the mounting plane of the
rims toward the brake disc is located further out. The modified offset,
which now is the same as for 850, has meant that the brake discs and
the hub have also been modified.
If rims with incorrect offset are installed it will alter the front end
geometry at the risk of compromising road handling characteristics
and causing the tire to contact the edge of the fender. Rims from the
earlier 940/960 cars must not be used on the new 960 models or vice
versa!
